“Yoga Is My Investment in My Future Health and Wellbeing
I started Yoga because I wanted to stave off old age! Over the last few years, I’d noticed that I was aching more in the morning and I was also tired all the time. I work full-time and my job is very demanding, but I still want to find the energy to do other activities. I knew that Yoga would be the best all-round answer. Yoga is my investment in my future health and wellbeing.
I’d turned up at a few classes at different times in my life and, although I’d enjoyed doing the practice, the classes were never that convenient, so I never kept it up.
In classes, I was always the one who stayed at the back and tried to follow what was going on. I was never sure that what I was doing was right, and when things got a bit tough, I just slacked off… With Abbie’s one-to-one teaching (and her eagle eyes) I’m learning everything correctly. She will never expect me to do more than I am physically capable of at a given time, although she won’t let me slack either! I’ve gone back to the very basics, and I know that when I’m learning Yoga, I’m learning it correctly.
I find Abbie an intuitive and sympathetic teacher. The ambience is very calming and the pace is just right for me. Since starting NorburYoga classes, many people have also commented that I look slimmer and just seem happier in general… which I feel. I’ve also been able to use the relaxation techniques at work when things get a bit manic.
I would certainly recommend NorburYoga classes, although individual tuition is expensive, I feel it’s money well spent. You can learn at your own pace, and focus on those aspects which are important to you. And again, Abbie is a great teacher.”
