“Yoga Has Helped My Postnatal Depression.
After the birth of my daughter I had postnatal depression which consumed me completely. I wasn’t able to go out and started to find even the simplest of tasks overwhelming. I had no energy and exercise was the last thing I wanted to do. A friend suggested I tried Yoga to help me cope with the stress and anxiety I was suffering, but the thought of attending classes surrounded by lots of people who knew what they were doing was intimidating. Then I saw Abbie’s flyer at my doctor’s surgery. I thought I had nothing to lose so I gave her a call and arranged a consultation. Our meeting went really well and she put me at ease so much that I knew I could feel completely comfortable with her teaching me. I signed up for weekly classes and I haven’t looked back. Abbie has taught me ways of coping with the extremely debilitating effects of anxiety and depression, and I now feel like I’ve regained control of my life again.
